Dreams
I know I've got a lot on my mind lately, but my dreams seems to be:
a) weirder than ever
b) nothing whatsoever to do with what's on my mind (work, The Future, flying to the US etc)
One was about wiping leaky fluid from Casper's eyes, only to discovered it was tinged with blood. Now, this might be because he broke a claw the other day and bled a bit, but it was really far more horrifying than the reality. I checked him carefully in the morning and he's the same small, perpetually hungry, cute black kitten he was before, minus blood leakage. *Shudder*
Then there was one that I can't really remember the plot of, but it involved the double act of James Corden and Matthew Horne. This is particularly weird because (to go back to the lettered bullets):
a) I've never watched Gavin & Stacey
b) The only thing I know about their TV series and film is that both got terrible reviews
c) I have neither thought about them recently nor spoken about them pretty much ever
I was expecting the usual last-month-before-flying I'm going to die in a fiery hellball type thing, but bleeding-eyed cats and allegedly mediocre British comics aren't my usual way of dealing with this.
Comments
We had Gavin & Stacy here on BBC America, and we thought it was great, especially Ruth Jones.
IMO, it's far and above alot of crap that's on US networks.
Different strokes, I guess...
I could see how that could happen. Sketch comedy is hard, and after Gavin and Stacey, could be a bit of overkill.
I did see Matthew Horne on the Catherine Tate Christmas show (2007) with Kathy Burke, and it was brilliant.
Sketch comedy is hard indeed - but then I can't think of a form of comedy that isn't bloody hard work at some point.
