Web posting habits that drive me to distraction

I hear you.

But you have to understand (and here I'm not sure if you are talking about us in Vox or all the web) that there are a lot of "us", meaning people over 45, non native English speakers, to whom (and I am not sure if the "m" is apropiate here but can't d spell check) the typying becomes something that needs to have an inflection, a feeling, not only that but, in my case, I have keyboard dyslexia, and sometimes even when reading it twice and trying a spell check, I fail to deliver properly.

here I am talking about the exclamation marks and interrogation (question) others, which are my vice. I have to admit that the LOL becomes annoying at times, and I have a very, very dear friend who writes her mails to me all in capitals.... I have tried to explain, but no success there.

I am also guilty of lots of dots in finishing a sentence and also brakets mania....

But I reckon all these, (the ones you dislike, the ones I dislike, the ones I make abuse) are nothing compared to what I see when my daughter(12), my niece(11) and her friends (some of them as old as 16, in 6th forms) mailing each other or writing on msn.... reckless assasination of the language.

Oh, I wasn't really talking about Vox at all, but some other sites that I have dealings with, and in more general terms...!

I don't mind the occasional lapse; it's just, as you say, total language assassination that really annoys me.
